This is what I call a Smoking hot ad. Simple, hard hitting (in your face). Precise and concise

It’s true when they say, “In Advertising, Less is More” (Simplicity)

A copywriter at his best. Seriously, that certainly makes the point loud and clear, at times makes me wonder why do we need art directors when copy alone can do the job.

Let’s backtrack a little bit:

I thought there was nothing after “cancer cures smoking”, but I was wrong.

This thought provoking ad was brought out by the Cancer Patients Aid Association. It has no pictures or frills, but just plain text, twisted a bit from what we are normally accustomed to read. ‘Cancer cures smoking’ is mocking and sarcastic, and can provoke even the most die-hard smokers to think twice before they light up
